Lexie is one of the coordinators at NT PHN and does incredible work within communities and the greater Australia to pique an interest in working in healthcare the NT and remote communities. I was involved in the high school to health careers program coordinated by Lexie in 2022 and experience it inspired me to come to Darwin as part of my graduate registered nursing program. The experiences I've had here would never have happened without Lexie inspiring my love for this area, but also my love for promoting better health care for indigenous and non indigenous territorians. She also does incredible work in facilitating and nurturing relationships between healthcare works and indigenous communities, for example she recently coordinated a trip with approx 30 medical students from around the country to visit communities and the home lands in east arnhem land which was an incredible opportunity for all involved. I can not recommend her enough for this opportunity as the work that she does inspires those within her community which just helps to make the northern territory even better than it already is.
